You might be wondering a little about me, my background, and how I came to be a psychologist. I completed my undergraduate education at The University of Notre Dame. At Notre Dame, I discovered my passion for psychology. I was (and continue to be) fascinated by the study of the human experience. I knew that as a clinical psychologist, I would be able to combine this study with the healing art of psychotherapy.
Therefore, after graduation, I pursued my doctorate at Michigan State University. At MSU, I had clinical experiences with a diverse group of individuals and furthered my knowledge of child psychology through a concentration in Child and Family Studies. My dissertation research examined women's identity development. During this time, I also worked at Ele's Place, A Healing Center for Grieving Children. At Ele's Place, I supervised children's support groups and led a group for bereaved parents. I am thankful for this experience that allowed for tremendous personal and professional growth.
After my schooling was complete, I returned to my hometown to work in a large group private practice for 10 years. In 2020 I decided to open my own practice. I am honored to work with a variety of clients as they work to transform their lives.
